Embroidery creates a professional look for custom apparel, headwear & many other product types.
The following are general embroidery guidelines to keep in mind when submitting your order:
Stock Embroidery Designs
If you do not have your own artwork, please browse our Stock Designs Catalog to select from thousands of stock embroidery designs.
Artwork Size
There are exceptions when a design has one dimension that is several times larger than the other. The size of many designs is dictated by the smallest text in the design. We will size your design appropriately based on our experience.
Apparel – For a typical left chest embroidery: 3.5”- 4.0” maximum
Small Type – Smallest text we can embroider is 0.35″ (6mm) high; 20 characters (including spaces) per line
Headwear – maximum height: 2.25” (less for visors); maximum width: 5” (could be more, depending on style).
Embroidery is also available on the side or back of the cap.
Fabrics
Many fabrics can be used for embroidery. For more information, visit our list of embroidery fabrics.
BYO (Bring Your Own)
We will embroider on items purchased somewhere else. There may be times it is necessary for you, the customer to bring your own items in for embroidery. We will gladly embroider your items.
Digitizing Artwork
Logos and graphics can not be scanned and then stitched. It must be digitized to create the stitches. A copy of your logo/graphic will be taken, your artwork will be sent to a digitizer to create a stitch file/ tape for the embroidery machine to understand. We only use professional digitizers to create our stitch files.
Once your artwork is digitized we will do a sample stitch out in house for your approval. Nothing is sewn on your apparel until we receive approval from you. This process takes about 24 to 48 hours to complete. If you need artwork created quicker, a rush fee will be applied.
If you order 24 or more polos, wovens, or jackets from us then your digitizing is FREE. Creating a digitized custom logo/graphic can cost $35.00 or more depending on the size of the stitch file. We will give you an estimate of the charges when you submit the design to us.
Submitting Artwork
We accept artwork that is a digital file such as a picture .jpg, bitmap files, Corel, Adobe Illustrator. Your business card or letter head will also work. If you have a simple design, fax us a sketch along with your order form, or scan it and email it to us.
